Logitech gaming software g29 setup4/15/2024 ![]() ![]() I am also now up to 118 minutes in Steam. I am happy to provide a video on Google drive if you really don't believe this.įix this please, this is absolutely not an acceptable workaround. I have RegEdit running on another screen, before starting AMS2 the registry values are unchanged, after AMS2 reaches the main menu I can refresh Regedit and see the registry values are reverted to the broken values. It is NOT Logitech GHUB, NOT Project Cars 1 or 2 (I don't own either and have never installed them), not any other software. It is AMS2 that is reverting this registry settings. However if I close and start AMS2 again it reverts the registry values mentioned in that thread and FFB is disabled system wide again. However if I start AMS2 first and then, while in the main menu I apply both that registry change and the registry file provided by Logitech, Force feedback is now immediately enabled in AMS2 (the wheel goes loose) and then works in race/practice as expected. It looks like the madness engine is changing registry values for G29 OK I followed the registry change mentioned over here and it had no effect by itself. However it appears AMS2 is reverting / overwriting /deleting this registry fix and therefore breaking FFB system wide. I have no idea what it is actually fixing or why I even need it. This "magic" registry file was provide by a Logitech support developer. Run registry file from Logitech dev support Play Assetto Corsa, Force feedback DISABLED Play Assetto Corsa, Force feedback working. In summary, every time I run Automobilista 2 it breaks force feedback SYSTEM WIDE and rebooting does not resolve the issue. Here's the reg file content for anyone who may benefit/interested: ![]() What on earth are the AMS2 developers doing? Firstly why do they need to change the common windows registry (not AMS2 specfic) at all, and then leaving Windows in a broken state until I run this reg file? ![]() If I run AMS 2 again, FFB is broken again system wide. However it still has no affect on AMS2 at all. I can determine this because Logitech developer support gave me a registry file a couple of months ago that fixes disabled G29 force feedback system wide on Windows 10 64 bit.Īfter AMS2 has broken force feedback system wide, if I run this registry file I get force feedback in other games again (without restarting Windows). This is a Windows 10 圆4 system 32GB RAM, 1080 Nvidia card, Intel 7700 CPU, Samsung 2TB SSD. My apologies for my reply though, I do hope you give it another try and requesting help on this site (populated by some real experts going back to rFactor 1) should get you up and racing.īut.On further testing it seems Automobilista 2 is changing system wide FFB settings in the Windows registry for some reason. ![]() Sure, it needs a lot of patience and many things are not logical but the forum is very supporting and we somehow together solve our problems.īecause I (and probably most on this forum) believe the driving experience of rF2 is unsurpassed by any other race game.īut yeah, patience and learning to fiddle is a big requirement here.įor this we get day and night racing, real road, endurance, weather (with rain being worked on) and many other parts presently not available in any other race game. The small development team is now busy tuning the game and will probably have a very long priority list. This is why we get together here in order to help each other make our racing experience work. RFactor 2 (being in redevelopment for a year now by S397 owner Marcel Offermans who was involved in rFactor 1) has a lot of quirks. ![]()
